I've always loved the FD RX-7,owning 4 of these over the past 20 years. I bought this car planning to keep it stock, with the exception of a fewreliability improvements, and to continue enjoying it lightly as it has beensince it was new. I anticipated keepingthe car permanently and spared no expense fully servicing the car to ensure Iwould have many trouble free miles ahead with it.
In the past 1,400 miles (March2016) I installed new Bridgestone RE-11 tires, serviced the transmission anddifferential, flushed coolant, serviced the brakes and replaced the fuelfilter.
In the past 400 miles Irefreshed the shifter, replaced all the coolant and AST hoses, installed aRotary Performance aluminum AST and a Mishimoto radiator, installed a HKSdownpipe and replaced the telescoping rear antenna with a shorter,nicer-looking, antenna. Every last OEMpart, including the 28k mile radiator and AST, is packed in boxes and includedwith the sale of the car.
Condition
Exterior: The body and paintwork are in good condition. Every owner has garage kept this car, including myself. Mild signs of use, including a couple small scratches are photographed and included below.
Interior: Inside this RX shows well for almost 29k miles - the seats, inparticular, are perfect. From new thesecars were known for their easily scratched interior panels - the panels on thiscar have some mild scratching, but are in good shape overall. The black carpet is clean and shows nosign of wear. The past 5 years have seenthe tachometer occasionally jump when the car is cold, but it always settlesand reads correctly (the result of a capacitor in the tach itself - ultimatelya small issue I opted not to address). The car also had a nearly $7k high end stereo system installed -immediately after purchasing, I uninstalled the subwoofer and amp. The JL speakers in the doors and in the mappockets remain, as does the headunit, though it lacks the proper signal. All of the necessary equipment is stillinstalled - and if music is an important item for the new buyer, they will workagain with a new signal wire. The A/C is still R12 and works verywell. The car has never been smoked in.
Mechanical: This RX-7 has been treated to specialist maintenance on themanufacturers recommended schedule and with Mazda-recommended fluids andparts. Everything mechanically works as new, the turbos boost in theirfactory 10-8-10psiconfiguration and even the factory oil pressure gauge works. The car needs nothing to drive and enjoy itfor years to come.
All manuals, records, tool kit, a custom car cover and OEM parts willbe included with the sale. Any questions please feel free to reach me atjburer at yahoo dot com

Because most of the guys who want these cars are too cheap or broke to pay what they're worth.
