OK, this is going to sound terrible, but it's an important issue in this sale. As an ex/experienced kart racer and motorcyclist, there is one piece of safety equipment that I cared for as if my life depended on it - my helmet. That means: never left it out of my sight, stored carefully, never (ever) dropped, replaced every few years. It's a little like the rock climbers 'NEVER SMOKE NEAR THE ROPE!' thinking. It's your whole life in a bucket.
So when selling/buying a (n albeit hardly) used helmet, the seller must assure the buyer that all aspects of care and monitoring have been maintained with regard to the item in question. And the buyer must be aware of such risks.
To be fair, for most of us doing light DE/track work, these precautions are less critical. But it is your head.
I do not mean to interfere with the sale, but just urging the importance of such a piece.
