TechART Coilovers
These are the base model coilover set, as they have both the TechArt and Bilstein logos machine stamped on them. The dampening is fixed and is very similar to a stock ride feel, so if you are looking for track use, you probably don't want these. If you want to lower the car and keep proper OEM feel and balance, then these are it.
The poor handling and dangerous wallowing that occurs when using just H&R springs is well documented on these forums. These coilovers are perfect for lowering your Porsche while still maintaining stock ride characteristics. I also learned my lesson from first hand experience with the H&R springs.
This is what my 996TT looked like lowered with the TechART Coilovers on:
I have approximately 25K miles on the exhaust. It still operates perfectly and I could feel a HP increase. Passes CA smog no problem, and never a CEL light.
It will fit the 60mm tips which I believe are standard OEM size. There isn't any additional hardware that would be needed. Your shop installing it would just need to put on a couple new gaskets, which shouldn't cost more than a couple dollars.
