996/997 Tial "Alpha" 28 FS Newly rebuilt

Category: Engine - Power Adders
Price: $3000
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Turbo, Porsche 911 996 Turbo
Location (State): IL
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

I am selling a newly built set of Tial Alpha 28 turbos. These turbos are a direct bolt-on for the 996 and 997 turbo. These are the perfect turbos for the street or track. The response is instant and pulls hard to redline. You can check the forums and find plenty of info on these turbos. The center sections are brand new. They have never been mounted to my car after the rebuilt. I decided to go with a big custom build which will require a much larger set of turbos. These turbos even come with a limited warranty form Tial. New the turbos sell for around 6k. Dropped the price to $3000 +shipping.

Thank you for taking the time to read my ad.

SOLD!!!

Do you have a dyno graph? How much boost did that need?

29PSI, built motor with 3.8L...

I'm also including my dyno from when the motor was stock, 3.6L with 27 PSI, made 683 whp & 725 ft lb with 91 octane and methanol...(on a Dyno Dynamic, more conservative then Dyno Jet)

Did your rods bend before you built the motor because of 27psi?

no not at all, infact I still have all of them and they are straight as an arrow. I rebuilt the motor strictly to increase boost and make more power. All internals were in great shape.

How long did you run 27psi mileage wise on stock motor? How many runs to 130+mph? 10s,100s, a lot lost count? Just strange people say past 22-23psi rods are toast but it seems its just hearsay and it might be all in the tuning.

Tuning plays huge roll in it. I didn't run it at 27 psi much maybe less than 10 times during airstrip events with 9/10 using ms109 & meth combo. I did run it on the street daily/weekly at 22-25 PSI all day without any issues with 91 & meth.

Wow - that's awesome. 725ft/lbs on a Dyno Dynamics is a boat load of torque

You had a monster there! I kept my car at 550whp/600tq for reliability since my engine was stock and I drove my car quite a bit. These turbos are awesome. Like I said they are fully rebuilt with a limited warranty from Tial!
