For the hose on mine, the main dealer in the UK charged me the equivalent of $3,477 USD
That was at 53,000 miles, but it's doesn't seem to be a mileage specific problem from what I have read on here.
An Indy in the UK would normally charge around a third less for labour.
If the car has any signs of a rough idle then that's a sign that the hose needs doing.
A smoke test would give a definitive answer.

I wouldnt not buy an 05 because of this. Budget it in your purchase price. I did. If the vacuum leak occurs, pull the engine yourself or at an indi. Change the vacuum hoses to steel. Change the starter. Change the top O2 sensors, and enjoy the car for years.

My 05 GT only has 8840K miles on it and the plastic vacuum tubes were cracked at the connection areas on said tubes.
You would do the replacement of vacuum tubes only once, you would replace them with steel tubes and not the dealer plastic replacement parts.
See my GT build thread for pictures of cracked plastic vacuum tubes.

ok yeah my indy said the tubes would be steal once they have to replace it but is this the most expensive fix with the engine having to be removed and like the other person said once the engine is out do the starter and top 02 censors mind u the car only has 30k miles on it and was kept in a garage

The only other expensive parts I've had to replaced were the discs and pads. I got them from a UK outlet for just over a grand and fitted them myself.
I also had to have the 'Mechatronic' module in the gearbox changed. The gearbox worked fine but the paddle shift wouldn't work. My Indy did that and that cost me £1,800.
He said that he had seen lots of cars like that but most owners were happy to not have functioning paddles.
Other than that, no major shocks in three and a half years.

....please consider this, regarding the cracked plastic hose issue. It would seem that Bentley produced thousands (could it be 10,000) cars with this serious defect. Except for the very knowledgeable few on this forum, most people should avoid these cars....they are money pits and give Bentley a bad name. The VW Corp. presently is under serious ethical scrutiny and has been found guilty of major violations. The answer to this hose defect issue is that a half dozen original owners of these defective designed cars should sue VW to recover the $12,000 they were charged by Bentley Dealers to replace the defective plastic hoses.
....If I wanted a hobby car to take apart, I would by one of these defective cars...but would not pay more than $20,000 for one...There are thousands of these dogs out there and they are going to be sold by used car salesmen to the unsuspecting...a bad situation JimB

yeah but what about when u replace the issue with the steal hoses it's just a one time fix and at a indy is a 4k job but seems like it's a one time fix and so far from my research this seems like the most expensive repair expense
