Another option

I prefer this option http://www.skenedesign.com/FPBracket/index.htm and will pursue it when I move to VA.

Cali is BROKE and these types of tickets are a way they're trying to make up for it. Trovan saw a cop sitting at the exit of a car wash and writing tickets as the cars were coming out!!

CHP are ticketing a lot of tint tickets of late. We are now seeing people coming in to get even a 50% shade removed. If the officer decides to ticket you for the tint as a "non-correctable" offense, then there is a hefty fine. However, if you have a somewhat mid level shade and darker (35% & under), there is no limit to how many times you can get a ticket for the same "non-correctable" offense.

There is a solution if you are looking at tint for the front windows and heat rejection is a factor in your search, this would be a product that you should consider:

LP560 - at Premier getting Diamond Cut IR Tint & Bra

1. blocks off 94% of infrared rays
2. blocks off 99.5% of UV rays
3. shades come in as light as 73% VLT (visible light transmission)

Hello guys: Is your So CA facility set up for tinting? I am seeing Kris on Monday, but thought I'd ask. I may want to remove my current tint and have lighter film reapplied. Also, do you do windshields in clear? Thanks in advance!

Yes, we do. Our tint application schedule is booked out approximatley 4 weeks in advance though. We do have a 73% shade, which is very light...OEM glass is at approximately 80%. Kristopher would be able to show you some samples. Thank you.

Ticket for tint and no front plate

When I lived in SoCal it was a regular occurrence and now it is happening more often here in WA. I find the tint is not as big a deal here in Seattle but they really crack down on the front license plate. States are trying to find any way to make a buck these days and it gives them a reason to pull you over for something else. I now have the GOMINIGO license plate bracket and it works great. Easy to take on and off plus don't have to drill into the bumper. Check them out! www.gominigo.com

Cheers!
Zignasty

You guys need to move to Florida.
No front plate laws and no tint hassles.

It was nice while it lasted

It was nice not to have to worry about a front plate while I lived in Miami, but I got a ticket from parking enforcement within a couple of months after moving to Alexandria. I ended up using the skene design on the Denali while I tried a motorized/remote front license plate to conceal the plate for aesthetic reasons (http://www.swiftmotorsports.com/prod...d2bf4ca2038d16 ) on the M. Unfortunately, I learned very quickly that it mounts very low to the ground and it hit an obstacle soon after it was mounted to the front right of the bumper. The device is not very structurally sound and the damage was bad enough that I now use it manually rather than with the motor.

There are a lot of options on youtube to consider. Let us know if you find one that stands out.
