Congrats...the wail of that V10 must be a beautiful thing while you're behind the wheel.

I've heard rumors of BMW M cars getting smaller, turbocharged engines in the future, so its good you got in while the big motors are around.

I'm ready to add 2 doors and 4 more cylinders, too.

Nice get.

So far, it doesn't beat the sound of my turbo with the europipe exhaust at WOT, but I know when the Eisenmann goes on, those 10 cylinders will be singing a different tune for sure.

I also heard rumors of the same thing about the next generation M5s.

ezmoney888 congrats on the new M5. This is a big change from the Porsche TT.
I love my M5. The car offers luxury, comfort and awesome power.
First, please DO NOT get the Eisenmann exhaust! You must checkout the ASR Engineering components and tuning.
Allow me to offer you some videos of the ASR magic. The white M5 is my car.

The last video is a totally stock M6 with only the ASR exhaust.
My humble opinion is to checkout ASR for your M5. Call them at (786) 258-0009. Get informed, talk to Abid and you can conclude your own educated decision.

Again congrats and enjoy the M5. It is a performer.

Oh no, I wish I didn't see those videos. I was trying to not go crazy with this car. Springs and exhaust but now you got me thinking...

What year M5 did you purchase btw. If it's a 06+ did you go with the SMG or the 3 Pedal and what was your reason for your current choice. My experience with the SMG has been all negative!

The MY '06 E60 M5's only came with SMG's in the U.S. For '07 they offered the 6 spd.
The SMG initial history for the '06 M5 was a bit dicey for some people and therefore giving it a bad reputation. I have never had issues (probably jinxed myself) with the SMG and it has performed beautifully even under the added stress loads of all my mods. Last dyno was 581 rwhp and 461 rw torque.

The use of the SMG I guess you either love it (as I do) or you hate it.
When you are going balls out WOT those shifts are wicked and I love it.

ezmoney great choice. You are going to love the M5. It puts up a nice battle to all the opposition out on the streets. It handles incredibly for a 4100 lbs car.

Cheers,
Ranger

SMG is easy to pick up and the shifts are fast, it is the auto mode that takes a day or two to get used to but once you figure it out, it is smooth to drive.

Yeah that V10 must chug gas...Would you believe I get 27mpg on the highway with my M3...0-60 in 4.8 and 27 mpg?? I love my car more now that gas has hit $4. Obviously the 6 cylinder makes a difference....Now if I can get it to sound like your V10 with an aftermarket exhaust.....

Thanks OEKIM, BTW, where is Rockland and can you PM me what your payments are? I see your car is for sale. Maybe I can takeover your payments. Is it a lease or purchase?
