Here's the Dinan stroker against a HPF M3, stock 997TT (with a driver that can't drive) and a Ford GT with unknown mods. The HPF M3 is a 6.85 second 60-130 car, which is about as fast as a Protomotive PE700, EVOMS GT700, or SG700 TT (all in the 580-600 rwhp range).
All in all the Dinan stroker is fast for a heavy car, but not what I could a very fast car overall. Looks nice, though.
Those vids were runs BEFORE the M5's intakes were sorted by the installing dealer (M5 owner said installer mistakenly put stock MAF's back in, instead of Dinan's HFAMM's). M5 owner reported another run with same 997TT (http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e60...t-rematch.html ) yesterday.
Apparently, more runs with HPF M3, 997TT, a newly "stroked" M6, and some other HP cars are planned for this weekend (will be video'd). Those guys in Texas are SERIOUS about their cars. Fun to watch.
IMO, getting this level of performnce from an NA application in BMW's big, luxury sedan/coupe "M"'s is pretty remarkable; and comes with a great warranty, even extending to any BMW component that fails as a result of the Dinan mod's (think SMG!!). The complete pkg, including suspension/tower braces/BBK (now known as Dinan's S3 pkg http://www.dinancars.com/store/produ...cat=551&page=1 ), is ~$60k plus install (full retail; but nobody's paying that - Dinan dealers are offering "pkg" deals). You can easily buy a low mileage, pristine, stock, used M5 for ~$45 - $50k these days. Drop that S3 pkg in and you've spent ~$100k for a completely transformed luxury car, that runs/handles/brakes on an entirely different level.
Yes, a modded TT or any other modded, lighter weight "sports car" isn't going to be threatened by S3 pkg'd "M"'s (until Dinan produces it's "stoker" M3 V8/V10 pkg's). I can attest. My S/C'd Dinan S3 E39 M5 (about the same power #'s and weight of the new Dinan "strokers") is no match for my relatively modest, stage 4 996TT (although it's much closer on street or track than most anybody would guess).
Despite the cost, folks are signing up for this Dinan pkg at a steady pace (including a recently completed S3 M6 here, locally; which I'm going to get a chance to run with both my cars). 'Guess there's plenty of BMW "M" owners who perceive value in a fully warrantied, very high performance, luxury sedan/coupe.

Did they run again as mentioned?
Any videos?
