M6 Dinan S2 Dyno and Tune!

Just had an M6 S2 in here last Friday and had some interesting results!

Basically it was a complete S2 package, for those who aren’t familiar with that package this is what it includes:

Stage 3 Engine Software; Free Flow Exhaust; High Flow Air Mass Meter/Intake Assemblies; High Flow Throttle Bodies; Under Drive Pulley; Stage 2 Suspension System; Carbon Fiber Front Strut and Rear Shock Braces; 3.91 Limited Slip Differential

After a few pulls on the dyno myself and the owner were not too satisfied with the AFR’s the car was showing, we ran through some ideas and I informed the customer of the special we are having for the Chicago tuning event coming up here in two weeks. The pricing is limited to the event only but we figured we could make an exception for this situation!

This was after about 8 files back and fourth for a few hours and we still think we can improve the mid range a bit so when Jeremy gets out here in about a week and a half we will have the M6 back on the dyno!

All runs were to the increased rev limiter of 8,400rpm, the before graphs show me letting off at 7,800 because the tach signal was slightly off. We didn’t fix the tach signal until a few tunes in which is why you see the difference.

Please e-mail me at mike@fluidmotorunion.com if you have any questions about the tune or any other tunes, check out this blog post with details on the tuning event in a week!

What type of dyno was used? Those numbers seem low for stock and modded.

We run an AWD Digital Dyno Dynamics, "The Heart Breaker"

The numbers were of a huge surprise to me especially since the car was an actual Dinan S2 complete package.

I actually have an E60 M5 on here right now and the numbers are quite interesting.

Details coming soon so stay posted!

Interesting I got my Car tuned by Jeremy also and made 378whp back when my M3 was N/A My baseline before my mods were 310whp. What was the Stock Baseline on this M6? Either way its seems kinda low for an M6.

But heres my dyno with just the standard PC tune and then after Jeremy worked his magic. Mods all the same:
No cats, Gintani Exhaust, Macht Schnell airfilter, RPI Scoops.

Dynos also done on the latest AWD Dyno Dynamics

Numbers definitely were low, we'll toss up some graphs from an E60 m5 we did the other day.

Numbers are not low for Dinan mods and a diff, it is an AWD dyno dynamics and S85 motors puts down about 370-380 stock.

Jmoney seems to believe he gained 70 wheel with bolt on's... lol, that dyno is corrected.
