2010 BMW 320d - Am I the only one who wished BMW would sell more diesels in the US?

First off, let's get this straight, I'm ALL for performance cars, but recently I've been thinking of picking up a car that guzzles a little less than what I own (possibly a second car for trips etc). I live in Phoenix, so everything I do (beach, Vegas, Skiing) requires 4-10 hours of driving, so I wouldn't mind having some diesel (not a lame prius) for those weekend trips. I saw the European spec 320d, great handling, decent 8 seconds to 60mph, and 57 mpg... I am the only American who would buy this car? Annoying that its not even an option here , just wondering if anyone else would consider it?

euro diesel are the best. I have the MB ML 320 cdi. Just Drove 14000km allover america. Vancouver to Winnipeg and all round ND, SD. Then down to San Antonio, TX, Houston, Galveston, Beaumont. Then from Beaumont to Tucson AZ with just one stop for fuel. tucson to LA and down to Laquna Niquel, then finally striaght home. we must of got about 650miles per tank. we would fill up at about 1/4 and put about 50 bucks of diesel then drive all day. I drove from Sacramento, CA to Chehails,WA in one tank (filled up on reserve). it is the best touring vehicle we have ever purchase. It is an 2008 and we have all ready driven 70000km on her. the 4matic system is great too. drove it in the sand on the oregon coast doing 100km/h down the beach.

We just had a 335d come in not too long ago for a couple nick nack items. Looking forward to flashing it when he is ready to pull the trigger.

What type of gains are you expecting with the flash? Would gains on X5 be similiar?
