Exciting news for M3 fans: m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=315174 Here's info posted on M3post of a special edition road legal M3 to compete with the 911 GT3! - It won't be called M3 CSL. - Instead, BMW will either call it "M3 GT4 Street" or "M3 GT". - Naturally aspirated engine with an increased displacement of 4,400 cc (based on the S65). - At least 450 hp, likely more. (445 HP) - No information regarding KERS (KERS will likely debut in the F10 M5) - 7 speed DCT only, no manual transmission. - 'State of the art' exhaust system, but not Akrapovic.- (ARVIN MERITOR /w/200-cell race cats and 2 resonators) - Nuerburgring laptime: 7:40 min - Not available through BMW dealer network, but directly from BMW Motorsport. - Street legal (of course). - Exclusively painted in Inka Orange (a hommage to early BMW race and sports cars). Availability of other colors at a later date. - The car was tested secretly in France and on a private race track (likely Miramas). - It will compete with the 911 GT3. - Limited Production (some report 25 units per year). - Price: Unknown, but less than the price for an 911 GT3. ($110,000 EUROS)

Been keeping up and reading the details but seems none of the info is set in stone.

Can't wait until BMW gives us the specs and confirms it.

All I am interested in is if it is coming to the United States. If it is, thank you BMW for finally recognizing your enthusiasts and producing what we have been begging you to do and properly honoring your naturally aspirated M legacy. If it is not coming here, thanks for coming up short, AGAIN.

No way it's coming her if they're only making 25/year. It's WAY too expensive to "Federalize" a car here.

Sticky, just get the stroker or tighties blower kit for cheap. Drop some weight with the seats and get the Brembo's.

I'm not necessarily going to camp out in front of the dealer and trade mine in the moment it hits, if it were to come

Just for once, if this is the last naturally aspirated hurrah from BMW M, the US fans should be included. I think they owe us one.

They owe us more than one. We never got the Homolgation 215HP E30 M3 and obviously we didn't get the 286HP E36 M3, or the 321HP upgrade. Then here's the E46 CSL we never got. We can hope, but it's unlikely since it suppose to come directly from BMW Motorsport.
