Looks great so far! Do you mind sharing what you estimate this conversion will cost you in the end?
Allot more time has gone into it than I had planned on. I don't want to be one of those guys that throws out an number that sounds unrealistic... but I CAN tell you, that I can see why a "Gemballa style" company charges what they charge for parts & completed cars. The time to make things look right & match up, is unbelievable.
The actual parts that you've seen on the car (my photos) will get thrown in the trash after we make the molds. I can tell you that we'll be throwing away over $20K in labor & materials straight into the trash... (not labor at $40-$50 an hour.. actual cost to me from employees).
Then the new parts will get fabricated (out of the molds that are being made right now) & we'll be installing new carbon fiber composite parts back onto the car. So much work. This won't be the only car that's built... as you may have guessed. Otherwise you'd have to question my sanity.

LOL I know. Which shop? If you don't mind telling us of course.
My shop. hehe. I'm afraid I might get banned if I tell you. I'm not looking to get more business by posting this conversion. Just sharing what I love seeing... unique creations. So figured guys might like seeing a little "behind the scenes" of this car. Porsche Overhaulin', if you will.
PS: I'm about 45min. north of LA.
I would keep it in the porsche colors..like mexico blue..saw this color on another post and loved it....
....and to post a picture you need to click on the photo icon and paste the url where the photo is being stored.

Reason: tagged image...sorry
We're currently working on the rear bumper. The newer Cayman GT3 bumper doesnt fit the older Boxster perfectly, but looks great... so we're modifying the car to accept the Cayman GT3 rear bumper & Cayman tail lights. Lots of mods. But looking very good. At the same time we're trying out a Techart tail to see how that fits into the picture. It looks like it might fit w/ some mods. We'll see.
Got the 19" Gemballa rims for the car. They look great in satin black.

Just a little update. We're still working on the wing. It's looking VERY good, but it's having to be fit to the Boxster decklid and match up to the rear bumper... and the top of the tail has to sit just off the tops of each quarterpanel. Not an easy task. But it's looking pretty good so far. ;o)
More photos soon.
I am very interested in the look of the wing!! if you have picture and it's possible to post. Please do!
I am currently waiting for my boxster prototype kit also. I had gotten the molding done and now it's oversea for different material.
my kit took 3months to complete!! it sure takes lots of time
