Got an 08 Cayman S today, metallic gray with gray leather interior, 6-spd manual, preferred pckg, xenons, Bose sound, sport steering, 18" wheels.... Traded in my 1999 911 Carrera with 59K miles which I bought 18 months ago and it was a great car. Amazing lease deal and a big thanks to Tim at Maplewood Imports in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The first impression is amazing, I was heavily debating between the regular and the S, went with the S since its the same horsepower as my old 911. Already ordered clear side corners to replace the orange ones. This is my first brand-new Porsche and I am ecstatic!!!
Here are some photos of my car along with my friends Macadamia Brown Cayman. Sorry for the poor photo quality, taken on the phone.

Congrats!!! Love to hear about those first impressions. How do you like the 987 compared to the 911?
Well, I was very hesitant to "downgrading" even though I got a brand new car compared to my 10 year old 996. The car is amazing, it handles like on rails, the same acceleration, I feel more low end torque where the 996 was hesitant, the Cayman pulls from 2000 rpm in any gear.
The interior is top notch, I gained the heated seats, traction and stability control which is very important in this snowy climate, xenon lights and Bose sound system which is superb in the Cayman.
The best part of all, under $600/month on a 3 year lease (I had $4000 equity in the 911) with no money out of pocket.
