leather seat mats

hello guys,
does anybody know where the heated seats mat's are? I had some problems a couple of weeks ago with my leather seats, as my leather got marks from my jeans, I guess the foam underneath and I corrected the problem today is almost like it used to be but I noticed something underneath my leather in a spot like 1"x1" like on the perforation holes as if there was some type of metal pins or something underneath as you can feel to the touch, kind of hard to explain like pimples LoL, the question was if the heated mat is actually under the leather maybe thats what it is? anyone had this type of problem or feeling before? ...I just concerned as you know how old Couch looks like with It's Springs Poking Out.. hope I don't get that...
thanks all

Are you sure it didn't get hot? I have a chamois with the same mark that got set on a hot surface.

Hey thanks for the reply, I don't understand your question? I think the leather is diferent than chamois but yes it got a little bit warmed up with the steamer and a microfiber on bottom to get the foam diformation and get the original shape, but what you can feel is like bumps somethig rough underneath..like sometihng poking ...any idea

I thought the leather may have been burned by a bad element of the heated seat or the steamer. It just looks like that different texture (smoother) that leather gets when it gets too hot but before it discolors.

It may also be the leather was stressed or stretched by whatever is underneath.

I think your right about it being part of the heating system. If it was mine, I would remove the seat and try to re-position that piece.

is it easy to removed and re-position? I have an appointment on saturday at the dealer, hopefully they can look at it and fix it.. I don't have any discoloration or the leather being stretched, its just like something under....

That's good that it's not the leather. I've had the seats out to install some electronics, but have never messed with the foam. I'd think it would be a PITA. If you remove the seat, be sure to disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an airbag light. If it's under warranty I'd let the dealer take care of it. Good luck.
