A.W.E. Tuning 2009+ Cayman DFI Exhaust Development

Good Afternoon,

A local Porsche dealer was kind enough to loan us a new Cayman S to use for exhaust development.

Some specs on the car: It is a 2009 Cayman S equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and the optional Aero Kit.

As with all new products, we did extensive data logging in stock form to ensure we have an accurate base line to work from.

Once data logging was complete, the car moved to Manufacturing Department.

Upon inspection of the OE exhaust system we learned that the tubing was, not surprisingly, small at 1.95” and the mufflers are a chambered and baffled design, like almost all OE systems, and the previous generation Cayman.

Through a combination of larger diameter piping and our established straight through mufflers, our 2009+ Cayman Exhaust will deliver a healthy horsepower increase and exotic exhaust note.

I will update this thread regularly as development progresses.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have in the meantime.
