This system is absolutely amazing. It it very civilized at idle and partial throttle then it starts to build to a true GT3 sound. I cannot even express to you how this sounds in person. And now the video...

That sounds great!! Have you done any dyno runs yet - how much HP/TQ gains over stock? Does it have any drone? What is the price? Thanks.

I Also have this exhaust, and WOW... I love it! it is completely tame on idle and partial throttle, but when you open it up to redline it makes the cayman sound like a true sports car. Drone is VERY manageable if any at all. Will post more thoughts once i've put more miles on it!

porschepet,
to be honest, i don't think it sounds like the borla (i haven't heard remus in person). it has higher pitched exotic sound... than most aftermarket's.
dyno #'s should be around 15-20 to the wheels, rhonda can comment on the weight

Bonerwall,
Thanks and your right it does sound great. Even better in person!!
FACTS:
- + 11 crank hp & + 10 crank torque
- 2" tubing (50 mm) straight through design for max. power
- Weighs 23 lbs. (10,4 Kg)
- T 316 stainless steel for improved durability over T 304
- Dual 3.5"(90mm) round tips
- Made in Germany
- Intoxicating growl at idle, partial throttle and wide open throttle
- No DME programming necessary.
It does not have any drone as it is factory stamped. Here is a little more info..
Brombacher mufflers are “factory stamped” externally; unlike our competitors systems. This outer shell dampens and eliminates unwanted frequencies and ensures no resonance or drone in the cabin. The end result is a strong, linear, firing-order dominated flat-6 Porsche® sound. In addition, Brombacher exhausts systems are available for ultimate performance full titanium. Our titanium system’s are nearly 40% lighter compared steel and are available for late model, water cooled applications. Each of our exhaust’s have been extensively tested on both a chassis and engine dyno as well as logged thousands of miles on both the street and at the track. All this research, development and testing ensures maximum horsepower gains throughout a broad power band; all while maintaining reasonable sound levels for the street and provide a distinct, sporty exhaust note that is purely Porsche®.
The price is currently $2,124

Porschepet,
Thanks. In person it has a civilized low growl at idle and partial throttle but once you reach WOT the gates of hell open up and out rushes an RSR doing 180!! One of my customers took his Cayman S to Daytona and his buddies swore that it was a cup car! It is absolutely amazing. So much so that I am seriously contemplating cancelling my custom made race exhaust with M&M just to run this muffler on my 06' Boxster S!! I will try to get a dyno sheet from Germany for you. My guy's in Germany said they saw more power than the manufacturer claims so let me see what I can dig up for you.
Thanks for the kind words!
Rhonda

Here is a little more information about the company that makes this fine product, until now very few companies have been privy to their products. Now these products are available for street cars!! Here is a little info that you all may really enjoy...
What do Porsche Super Cup, Carrera Cup Deutschland, ADAC GT Masters, ALMS / LMS, VLN / BF Goodrich, FIA GT and Rallye Meistershaft have in common with FVD Brombacher? Many of the GT3’s running in these series have exhaust’s designed and produced by our new manufacturer from Germany, M&M. Oh, I also forgot to mention that they make the Cup/S and RSR systems’ for non other than Porsche Motorsports.
Now all of that experience, design prowess, power and reliability can benefit you on local track’s across the U.S. The FVD “Brombacher” exhaust line is the most comprehensive in the industry. Simply put, we can cater to just about any exhaust requirement that you have. The “Brombacher” line now offers some of the lightest, most powerful and most reliable exhausts for track day / street warriors like yourselves.
In regards to M&M...their main focus is manufacturing exhaust system's for race cars. Only a very small hand full of race teams in Germany and the U.S. have been privy to their products. Earlier this year we turned to them to manufacture our entire exhaust line for 911,964,993,996,997. In so doing, we have become the exclusive distributor of their product's here in the U.S. To have their systems on a street / track car in the U.S. is virtually unheard of until now. You will NOT be disappointed.
Here are a few race car's from the series that I mentioned above...
The Mobil 1 Porsche Super Cup Champions for 2009, Konrad Motorsports...
Don't know about you guy's but I have been following Franz Konrad for years. You may remember the Saleen S7R that started in same livery as the above Cup Car, it ran in the ALMS around 2002-2005? Terry Borcheller was the shoe. Hat's off to Mr. Konrad, spectacular win this year in Super Cup. Bleekemolen had a real fight on his hands to beat Rast...[/URL]
Here is a classic video from Valencia this year...
Another team that M&M manufacture for is Land Motorsport that run in the VLN/BF Goodrich Series. Here is a picture of one of their latest RSR and Cup Car. Land Motorsport won the 24hr race in Dubai in 2009 in it's cup car.
Mühlner Motorsport run's a Cup S in the VLN/BF Goodrich Series...
M&M don't just make system's for Porsche. They also make systems for Corvette & Ford GT. You may remember the Raeder Motorsport Fort GT that qualified first at the 24 hour of Nordeschliefe earlier this year. It also led until about hour 6 when it ran into a tire issue...M&M made their exhaust as well....
Here is the car in action, this is great footage...
There are so many race car's that I can be here all day so I will finish with my favorite...
I want to share some footage of the German Rally Championship. There are several Porsche’s in this series one of them in particular I would like to highlight. Team Prorallye's 996 GT3 of Olaf Dobberkau and Alexandra Konig is without a doubt a very well recognized car in the series. As some may know the Prorallye car run's M&M exhaust.
