Which would you take? (Cayman S)

I've got two cars i'm looking at. Which would you take?

Option one:
06 Cayman S
Black/Black
35K mi.
No major options
Imported to Canada @ 3K miles 3 years ago
Bought from Porsche dealer before import

Option two:
06 Cayman S
Silver/Black
37K mi.
All major options including Nav/PCM
Imported to Canada @ 30K miles 5 months ago
Bought @ auction

I realize that this may look like a no-brainer decision but I'm a little leery of a car purchased at auction and imported less than a year ago. Am I being silly worrying about the recent import and auction purchase?

Both vehicles are priced similarly @ $41K CAD (equivalent to $33K USD including import and duty costs) and both have factory warranty until early 2010.

I just don't want to make a decision that I'll regret because costs can easily add up. Maybe i'm just being too cautious...

If the #2 option is 6MT and has SC and PASM i would go for that. I have both on my CS and would recommend them.

The second one does have all those options. I just worry it's been abused. Other than bad downshifts and ignoring maintenance, is it possible to have a beat up Porsche?

Cosmetically they both look phenomenal.

Just get a PPI done, I think it's a small price to pay to know what you are getting into.

I've got my own durametric kit so I'll test anything I look at. I suppose this is the best insurance I can do. I run a garage so I have a reasonable idea of what to look for, I'd just hate to miss something major.

As for where I'm finding them, I'll let you know after I buy one. Really though, I'm just looking all over the place, PCA websites (Toronto and Ottawa regions) and trader.ca. Just have to look regularly and sort through all the fodder.
