Just curious to see who DRIVES their cars here. I am almost at 29,000 miles in my 2008 Cayman S. Actual reading this morning on the way to work was 28,760. I bought the car new off the showroom floor in Oct. 08...so in about 13 months i was able to do that much damage
How about you guys??? What miles are you at???
Cheers!!

i was wondering the same thing, i wonder how many miles b4 these cars self destruct, even though they are everyday cars, i get scared when i start to see my cars or even my bikes go in the 30k area.... i hope we can take these cars up to 100,000 miles, like a toyota....lol

Got it November of last year with 2k miles. Now I have 23,800. School started in September so I haven't been driving as much. Would've had about 26k by now though!
Pedro has 190k miles (including 10k track/autox miles) on his '98 Boxster: avg 16k miles/yr. And I think he (his car) won the zone 12 of the PCA autox this year - didn't even have to do the last run of the season. Can you say... what RMS issue?
At the opposite end, I have 2700 miles on a 2008. Granted, I picked up the car 2 months ago when it had just 40 miles.
I have 178,000 on my 99 Boxster,
Twin turbo setup for over 40,000 miles.
RMS replaced at 110,000 when I changed the clutch

Growing up the car magazines said how amazing Porsches are. Was I brainwashed? Somehow...I doubt it.
I had 130k on MY97 before selling it, and have 50k on MY01 S. I didn't buy either new, but put most of the miles on the first one. Never a major issue with either. I am upgrading my engine to a 3.6 big bore by Jake Raby, but primarily for the additional performance and reliability as an aside, even though I can't complain about the M96 engines I've had, including MY 00 996 Tip. It has 68k and still going great. I could have upgraded the 996 instead, but the Boxster is just more fun to drive fast than the 996.
226K miles on my 02 Boxster. Original engine. Original clutch. Wore out driver's side mat, though. Bought the car new in Jan 02 with factory delivery miles. Had nearly 80K miles on the car early (Jan/Feb time frame) in 2004.
Runs as good today as it did new.
Bought an 03 Turbo June this year and even though car off road for 2 months have put a bit over 10K miles on it as of the other day.
Oh, still have the Boxster.
My 08 Cayman S accumulated 2246 miles from April 4/5 to May 1st when car totaled when some dumb ass in a Volvo ran into the car. Course with the money from the driver's insurance company bought the Turbo. But still I miss my Cayman!
Wow 226K! I've been feeling like i've been putting a lot of miles on my 2000 986, but at 54K it's just a baby. This thread gives me a lot of confidence in the reliability and longevity of our cars!
66K on my '02...30k on the 3.8L upgrade. Still puts a $hit-eating grin on my face every time I drive it.

I have been toying with the idea of just keeping my Cayman S forever and seeing how many miles I can put on her and where i can drive her. Thinking about coast to coast? Maybe even Canada? Hmmmmmmm
Keep the posts coming (i just hit 29,200 last night!)

Great thread !!
I have 42K on my 2007 Cayman and if anyone has doubts about doing bolt on mods ( SRP ,Flash and Remus Exhaust) my car has NEVER seen the inside of a shop runs Better then the day I bought it.This is my first Porsche and I am 100% satisfied with the Porsche Quality .I did not know it would turn me in to a Modaholic though
I purchased my '03 Boxster S this past September, at the time it had 47k on the clock and today I am at 75k. In time I will accumulate a great deal of miles (at least for the next 3.5 years meanwhile I complete my undergraduates and more).
