2008 Cayman s

Hello All,
Im a first time porsche owner and I have chosen a gorgeous '08 Cayman S as my first. I'm loving it with the exception of a few things. I would appreciate any help or info you can give me.
First there seems to be an issue with my headlights. I have the 601 Option code Xenon Headlights install but when I switch the ignition to ON (Not Start) nothing comes on till I actually start the car. That and I cant see the autoleveler working. (As I understand it the lights dip and rise when your switch the ignition ON - the function check in the manual) Also while driving home last night on a really dark road the headlights barely illuminated 8-10 feet in front of the car.
Secondly the annoying clunk when I hit a bump or a pothole (feels like a suitcase flying around in the trunk - I don't think its the suspension bottoming out).
and Lastly the small round i/o switch by the driver door hinge (What is this for? lol). I have a 30 day warranty with the dealer so I would like this stuff sorted before that expires. Thanking you all in advance for all the help.

Avoid bumps and potholes! J/K. Does your car have PASM? PASM when on (sport mode) is very harsh on 987.1 cars.

The headlights should be extremely bright. Are they not? Take a pic of the front of the car with the headlights on, and take a pic of the light switch too in the position which you took of the headlights.

Also take a pic of the I/O switch by the driver door hinge you're referring to as well. Visuals help!!

Thanks Steve, Well I went to test the headlights again and now they seem to be working better. They still dont come on when I turn the car on but atleast they still illuminate enough of the road. Is the headlight option on mine (601) auto leveling Bi Xenon? or are the regular Xenon Auto Leveling as well. I have attached picture for all my queries.
Thanks again.

Lights look normal. That on/off switch doesn't look OEM. Is there any evidence of a once installed accessory? Something removed by the owner prior to sale. So does your car have PASM?

Also, my 2008 RS60 (Boxster S) headlights don't dip/level when turned on. The auto headlights in my 981 Cayman S do dip/level upon start up.

I figured it out sort off!! I have to have the switch on low beam when turning the ignition to ON. But they still do not do the auto level test...any ideas?. And no PASM, kinda regretting it as our roads in Toronto kinda suck now. But I've been reading up about the trunk clunk issue.

PASM is more harsh than without.
