Trading 06 Boxster S for 12 Cayman S Black
Hi everyone wondering what your thoughts are regarding trading a 06 Boxster S with 37,500 miles for a 12 Cayman S Black Edition with only 7300 miles
The car looks amazing and I would use it as a daily driver. My present Boxster hasn't seen snow or rain for as long as I've owned it.

Yeah, the price difference is approx $35K. My wife doesn't really care for the Cab, I may just go check the Cayman out myself first.

Performance will be about the same.
Cargo space about the same.
The ride of the Cayman will be a bit harsher than the ride of the Boxster.
If you don't like the soft top don't put it down. That's what I do with my Boxster. Haven't had the top down other than to access the air filter now for years.
You wil lose, that is take a depreciation hit when you sell/trade in the Boxster.
Unless the sight of the Boxster makes you ill I'd say hang on to the Boxster.

The Boxster drives beautifully but my wife doesn't care for a Cab. We have two other cars so may just hang on to it.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Not sure what you stand to gain from moving from the Boxster to the Cayman?

Will do. Tempted as it has such low mileage.

Well, here's an update on what I ended up doing.
Passed on the Cayman Black Edition and picked up a 2015 BMW 428xi, keeping the Boxster S.
So far loving the new car but can't wait for the warm weather to pull out the Boxster.
