Strong winds....goodbye cover.

So my cover is halfway to Los Angeles right now. San Diego 20 mph winds took it.

I've seen the lock down methods, but that seems extreme.

I have a 997 cover (outdoor) and a Cayman cover (indoor) I have no use for. The Cayman cover is brand new.

Both of my covers are Porsche products. The indoor has never even been out of its storage bag, and I only bought it a year ago. The 997 cover is clean and wasn't used much. No tears or damage. To buy today would be over $500 USD. PM me with what one or both are worth to you. I'm not looking to recoup my money.

Wow! 20 MPH winds is barely a breeze. That sucks. Hopefully a neighbor found it and will return it. Long ago when I parked a car outside that I covered I used a long bungee cord to hold the sides down so they would not flap. Hooked to the grommet on either side of the cover. Worked well. Good luck.

save that cover!

Gents,
I've got a 987S parked outside [please,no yelling.. too many Porsches]. I have a double cover setup for extra protection. The factory under the car tie down setup is a real PIA. I tried, and now use, a very heavy duty rubber band setup that allows me to wrap it neatly between the side mirrors- right across the windshield. Works great and keeps wind from getting underneath it. We sometimes have very strong winds here. Easy fix.
