damn man, these cayman s' are even faster than i originally thought. check out this 13.11@108.69 with a horrible 2.119 60' as well. a 2.0 60' time would put this car into the 12s. trap speed is amazing too. i can def and safely say these cars will def take m3s down easily with traps speeds like that. i mean thats getting close to base 997 911 territory if it trapped another 3-4 mph. model was an 07.
I have an '06 CS. I wonder if this is due to the motor loosening up with break-in. I remember a few years back a car mag got a stock 997 one-half second faster a year after the 1st time they tested it, and felt it was due to break-in.

Easily? No. M3 is faster and traps around 113-115
Don't get me wrong, Cayman is a great car and more pure sports car then M3 can ever be, but it's not a 1/4 mile monster (neither is M3, but it's still faster).
Cayman has such a great balance, enjoying it in the twisties is way more fun then running 1/4 mile

Any idea what sort of time the new Caymen S with PDK is capable of?
This one is possibly faster then M3.
Not sure about trap speed and too lazy to check, but DFI engine has a little more power then M97 and PDK is wicked fast so it has potential to smoke M3 in the 1/4 mile

i got a 13.8 in my 08 Cayman S....with street tires on my 19s.....and i am by no means a good "launcher" at the drag strip so there was def more to be had. Id say 13.0-13.2 is a good range for the pre-PDK cars. those are most likely into the 12s with a good driver.
