Sad indeed

Since my original post went up, I received a call from another gentleman who paid these guys a ton of money via money transfer for intercoolers and who had already waited more than SIX months (still counting) to get his goods. I'm saddened that there are more people who are becoming victims of these guys. I was unlucky in that I paid via paypal (who suck because they wouldn't give me my money back since Blownsix had already taken their money from the paypal account), but lucky that I paid paypal via Amex who refunded my money and went after Blownsix. I wasted so much time and energy in fighting these guys and the credit card company to get my money back.

The bottom line is that these guys don't deserve anyones business and a lesson to be learned here is to pay through a credit card that will protect you!! Blownsix freaked out when I put all those posts regarding their fraud on 6speed and Pelican Parts. You should consider it too.

It is a good thing that you got your money back, and too bad that there are so many companies that have poor communication and customer support.

This post is a few months old and I happened to find it in a Google search. I could not remember my old 6speed login so i just created another so i could respond.

I ordered a set of wheels from these guys last summer. They promised about 6 weeks and we settled upon a price and specs. During our original conversations the guy clearly said it would be 50% up front and 50% upon shipment. This is typical for any custom wheel order but when I went to send the money he flipped his offer and said he needed FULL payment. I said...no deal and he finally took the 50%.

So 8 weeks or so pass by and I finally get an email stating the wheels were done and they requested the other 50% so I sent it. (my credit card invoice show the biller as HOLIDAY INN or something super weird ) A week or so goes by and no shipping info or an email. I called several times and received no answer and no return call. I should have known better because on some of the first calls the guy was on his cell phone at lunch ??!!

So I finally get a response email from them and they say "We are attending SEMA in LasVegas and won't be able to send your wheels till we get back." The funny part was it was 2 full weeks before SEMA was even going on !! I mean what happened to " you wheels are ready to ship?"

Right then and there I knew something was up. I started to get the feeling they were hard up for cash and just wanted my money to blow on hookers in Vegas.

SEMA came and went and still no wheels. I was calling and emailing daily and then finally they said the wheels were ready. There was a bunch of crap that went on in between this that is complicated but long story short I ended up picking up the wheels from some Pack and Mail shop in Toronto !! DON'T ASK and it was super sketchy that they didn't want me coming to their shop.

The wheels might as well have been in a brown paper bag. We opened the wheels and I could right away tell the lips were used. Yes you heard me right....they were used products so back on the phone I go to get this sorted out.

They kept insisting they were new parts blah blah blah. I sent them super hires images of scratches and dings and still they did not want to help. They finally agreed to take the wheels back and they were going to repolish the lips and send them back. I figured I would give it a shot but as you can expect it took almost 4 weeks when they promised 1 week.

I finally got them back and they looked just as they did when I sent them the first time. After several months of all this drama I just gave up. By the looks of this thread I am just glad I received the wheels.

It was a shame because the wheels were amazing and I clearly told the owner this. I had been looking forward to doing more business with them but I would NEVER consider it ever again.

So sad

I get so upset every time I get someone contacting me regarding Blownsix Fraud. Remember guys, put the payments via credit card, preferably AMEX like I did where they will fight for you and refund your money. I am so sickened by more posts regarding people like them ripping people off. The best thing to do is to go on all the forums like I did and warn people about what's going on and that will create such a bad name for them (which I hope has already done). When I did that, I had Michael from Blownsix freaking out begging me to take all the negative posts about their fraud on 6speed, Rennlist and Pelican Parts.
