Chipmaster Markham

Does anyone have experience with this company? I have a few rock chips and a small quarter sized chip/dent on my passenger door and was thinking of having it repaired there.

I can't use a PDR (paintless dent removal) process as the dent also chipped some paint. I'll try to take a pic tonight. Yesterday I went to Chipmaster and spoke with Ron. He said that the chip/dent on the passenger side door will need to be sanded down, smoothed (likely with a bit of filler), primed, painted, then clearcoated. But because it is close to the front fender, he would have to blend it into the fender as well. This means he has to clearcoat the entire passenger side door and fender. He said that you cannot clearcoat just part of a panel, you have to clearcoat the entire thing. He quoted me $450 for the entire job.

All for a small quarter sized blemish that is bugging the hell out of me. Sigh. Not sure what to think but does this sound legit or is this guy out to lunch?

Yea once the paint is chipped there's more work involved, maybe go to another shop and ask for a second opinion. Btw, what wheels are those?

Yeah, I'm going to get a bunch of quotes first. The wheels are ADV 5.1 in flat black.
