Anyone manage to get a discount on a 911 at Porsche Centre Vancouver?

They seem to be very firm on MSRP.... feels bad when you see people in the US getting 6-10% off...

Thanks!

My understanding is that they don't discount on new cars. Remember they're the only game in town so why discount? The US market is far different and and many cities have more than one dealer. Also the dealers down there get far more allocated cars than do the Canadian dealers.

Why don't you consider buying one with a few miles from the US? Super easy and you'll save some $$$.

Because then I have to take what's in stock and used. I would only order a car to spec. Also, while US warranty is valid in Canada many of the Canadian dealer service departments put US bought cars down on the priority list. Also, of course any items that at essentially "Goodwill" warranty, meaning funded by the dealer are gone. Trade in value on US bought cars is also lower when/if you trade up to a new car. You cannot take the US car back to the US for warranty either as if the Customs guy is having a bad day he can charge you duty on the value of the car! Risks are just too high.
An additional item is that the Porsche dealer provides a lot of financial support to our local PCA. Can you imagine their attitude towards PCA if we all started bringing in new(er) cars from the US. There goes the support which is vital to the existence of PCA in this area.
