918 vs Alpha 12 1100 HP Nissan GTR TWO races to 200 mph

The 918 is amazingly fast from 0 to 265kph (165 mph) but not so above because its both electric motors disengage at this speed and leave the thermical engine alone.
I discovered a built 997.1TT can beat the 918 as well at high speed.

Awesome video. Hardly surprising result given that the Alpha 12 has something like 1200 hp versus 887 for the Porsche. Of course the guts of the Alpha 12 are nothing like stock whereas the Porsche is right from the factory.
Bottom line is that if you want to go superfast nothing beats a GTR in terms of bang for the buck and ease and expense of modding.

Put enough bhp in a souless turd and you can't deny the physics of it, it will still be fast. I'm not sure the result would be this one sided if they were on the Ring, or anywhere not predominantly straight. :-)

With it's intended 545BHP, NOT with its 1200bhp. It will most likely be slower then stock with that much power and lag for that 545bhp chassis on a course!
The 918 was made with 900bhp to be a track killer and was engineered to handle that HP around a course in record setting time.
Case in point, Car and Driver road course test with THE SAME AMS ALPHA 1200:

He said himself you're not going to be setting any course records with that car. As I suspected. Anywhere with significant straights it will shine.
I'll take the 918 thank you very much.

Oh and if the Nissan has no soul, then the 918 wasn't even alive to begin with lol. We've talking about a hybrid vehicle here .
At the end of the day, i'd take the Porsche of course but discrediting the GT-R shows that you simply have no clue about sports cars in general.
