Perpetual Price Thread
I would like to suggest starting a perpetual price thread. We have done these on other forums and they have proved to be very popular and informative. They become a running thread/log of all vehicles bought or sold. The vehicle specifics, options, condition etc are listed as the rationale for the price.
What do you think about the idea?

Just got done negotiating on 2004 ctt at a porsche dealer.
What do you guys think of $33,500 for a freshly CPOed tit gray CTT with 20 sport technos and only 47k miles.
Only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger is the only have one service receipt and it was a 40k service they just did. I asked about the coolant pipes and the mechanic indicated they were not leaking. Tires are brand new and so are brakes.
Should I pull the trigger....

No way...stay away from this one! Sounds like a real piece of junk...
Now can you please give me the number of the dealer;-)

hey VTGT.. i think you asked me this question.. sorry.. didn't get the chance to respond..
got the 06 CTT-S last month for $46k with 30k miles.. 2 previous owners (leased) and didn't have anything in the service books aside from the 20k miles service..
crossing my fingers hopefully this lasts.. if it's not certified, advise is to keep $5k for whatever happens (well, not catastrophic), or get an extended warranty lesser than $5k that will cover for atleast 100k miles
also, budget for tires..
good luck ;-)

with the options.. i really wanted a Turbo after test driving about 3 cars - the umph! compared with the 04-06 S are (for me) worth the price difference.. was lucky enough to find this one.. all available in the Turbo + upgraded brakes, additional "S" badging, 520hp

Sort of.
There are more 04s than 06s. 04s on average have more miles than 06s. Many of the early issues were usually replaced on early models through the warranty process. Parts were updated, but not may not have made it into the 06 modle year production process. (coolant pipes for example).
So far it seemes like the price delta between an 04-06 is greater than the cost to update those few parts that really are(might) be different.

2010 Cayenne GTS
Just bought a 2010 Cayenne GTS with 4,800 miles from the dealer for $65,400. Original sticker was $90,100 - less than 6 months old - traded in on a new 2011 Turbo Cayenne.
