Depending your brakes on the 2001 will determine the minimum wheel winter setup. For instance, mine has ceramics and the smallest I can go is 20's for winter.
On my GTS I had perelli scorpion ice and snows. Those are the best winter tires IMHO.

They are one of the easiest. I have never purchased from tire rack bc after you add the shipping the price always is more than going to a local shop where I have purchased sooooo many tires from that the guy matches the tire rack price and reduces by about 20 bucks per tire and that includes installation.

Will not say they are the cheapest (if that is what you mean by best) but if you mean quality service and knowledge, then they are at least equal to the best.

True. I also have the 21" Pirelli and they are doing a great job on snow and wet/icy roads (we have plenty this period).

Careful who you buy from...

I bought a winter tire set from a well known, common poster, on this board and was given rims shipped to the wrong address/defective rims/defective tires and still waiting on a refund...

I've bought from tire rack for years. They are excellent to work with. I just got 2 sets of wheels/tires from Damon for my 996TT and my -06 ****

Never knew they required wheels & tires- just a "clear bra" maybe.

I'll vote for Tire Rack too. They are the best in terms of getting exactly what you need quickly and it's always right. Maybe you can find a cheaper option, but Tire Rack is cheap and whatever you buy will be right.

Please give me a call, I'd be happy to help. I still have plenty of inventory left, including OE wheels.
