help me decide on the color for my wife's cayenne
we have pretty much narrowed down the option list (I did, she doesn't know of the options. )
-premium package plus
-panaroma roof
-porsche entry and drive
-color choice
meteor gray (black interior)
jet black metallic (luxor interior)
*sorry budget does not allow the two tone interior. i really like the espresso/cognac :-(
now few questions, which one do you think will look better.
The black looks very dark imho and luxor to me does not look very rich.
I am going to the dealer this week to take a look at both color and decide.
Also looking for your opinion?
also what is the opinion on the porsche entry and drive?

Colors, like options, are such personal choices. Of the two, I personally prefer the Gray/Black for ease of care. JBM, which is always beautiful and classy on any car, is tough to keep clean and long term, also tough to avoid swirls. I'm not a fan of the Luxor beige int, it looks like bright peanut butter IMO, but it's a popular choice.
I have entry/drive on my 6 that I just got into yesterday. I've been a huge fan since having it on my bmw and lexus. The implementation is a bit different- instead of a push button start for the ignition, there is a good sized plastic piece that protrudes out of the ignition hole that is about 1.5in long. A simple twist of the switch starts/stops the car. The switch is rather unsightly IMO, esp. given the beauty of the updated interior. One would think for $1k option, they could use something a little nicer. I haven't yet found that the plastic piece can be removed.
Additionally, it works differently than my BMW/Lexus. It opens the doors just the same, but in the BMW/Lexus, unlocking any of the passenger doors using the entry/drive would unlock all the doors, while the Porsche only unlocks the chosen door. Personally, I prefer the BMW/Lexus implementation because the reason why I got the entry/drive was to not bother with the key. It doesn't seem like this can be changed in the PCM without setting the door unlocking feature to always unlock all doors (which I don't want to do), but I'll need to dig into this more. Wonder if the programming can be changed by Porsche?
Anyone else have entry/drive for a 2011 that can comment?

My opinion is the meteor grey. I love grey anyway, so it's a no brainer for me. I will say that we own a black vehicle and it shows every little swirl, speck of dust, what have you and shows dirt faster than my grey Cayenne.

yeap, i am back on gray with black interior.
Thinking of doing mats with white leather wrap, white speed dial, prem. pakg. one, porsche entry / drive, panaroof, embossed headrests, blk out exterior trims, and a fire extinguisher I think...
