Ordered a Cayenne Turbo in Umber w/Espresso/Cognac

Saturday I ordered a Cayenne Turbo. I love my '09 Cayenne Turbo S but after spending some time with my wife's '11 Turbo I realized how vastly improved it is. I was going to wait until the 2012s arrived but mine will be worth less and the 2012 will probably cost more so why not do it now. The build is as follows:

Base Cost 106,000.00
Freight 975.00
Two Tone Leather Espresso/Cognac 1,940.00
14 Way Power Seats
Premium Package 5,320.00
4 Zone Air Conditioning
Lane Change Assist
Adaptive Cruise Control
Porsche Entry & Drive
Rear View Camera w/Park Assist
Elec Roll Up Sunscreen for Rear
Light Comfort Pkg
Seat Ventilation
Sport Package 3,500.00
PDCC
PTV
Sport Steering Wheel
Natural Olive Interior Pkg 1,340.00
Grab Handles in Olive 1,640.00
Porsche Crest in Front & Rear Head Rests 570.00
PCCBs 8,840.00
Fire Extinguisher 140.00
Exterior Pkg In High Gloss Black 150.00
Extended Exterior Pkg In High Gloss Black 2,400.00
Compass Display 420.00
Voice Control 595.00
Burmester Sound 3,990.00
Panorama Roof 660.00
Non-Smoker Pkg 0.00
Heated Windscreen 490.00
Cargo Management 590.00
Floor Mats w/Color Logo & Leather Surround 645.00
21" Sport Wheels, Black w/Wheel Arch Ext 4,555.00
Wheel Arch Ext w/Side Door Ext in Blk 990.00
Sun Visors Leather 1,025.00
Rear View Mirror Leather 675.00
Air Vent Slats Leather 2,505.00
Dashboard Trim Leather 1,975.00
Steering Column Casing Leather 855.00
Instrument Dials Luxor Beige 860.00
Compass Dials Luxor Beige 500.00
Seat Belts in Cognac 650.00
-------------
155,445.00

Not 100% sure about the dials in Luxor Beige and the seat belts in Cognac. I may also get the standard rims and use them for snow tires and get aftermarket rims. The Porsche computer makes you get 20" or larger rims when you order PCCBs. I guess 19s won't fit over them. I love deviated stitching which is why I am ordering some of the leather items. With the espresso/cognac interior they have the deviated stitching. At least that is what is says in the descriptions of the items. If anybody has any knowledge of this I would greatly appreciate your help. Also what rims have you seen that look great on the Cayenne? Leaning towards HRE P43Ls or P40Ls in black. Any feedback or advice would be appreciated.

My Cayenne Turbo S will be for sale shortly before the '11 arrives if anybody is interested.

Wow... Awesome spec. If I had had more time to have placed an order, mine would have been similar to yours (I was on the clock as BMW was buying back my X5M). Exterior colour would have differed, but not much else.

Was really against PCCBs, but have decided that I will order them on my 991 when I place that order (hopefully later this year) and likely on my next Cayenne (in 3 years or so).

Not really a big fan of the sun visors in leather, considering they come wrapped in alcantara (and I like the way they blend in). Can't wait to see what the vents wrapped in leather look like.

Altogether, awesome spec. I am jealous that I couldn't find a Turbo in the US with sport package and Burmester, but am determined not to listen to one until my next Cayenne is able to be ordered.

That is the mother of all SUV builds ..... can't wait to see pics when done. Kudos on the PCCB. You may want to think really hard if you want to dump all that money on fluff (like the dials, compass, seat belts and sun visors in leather). If you think that it will enhance your enjoyment then go for it. I to spec'd the compass, seat belt and dials in the color you chose and then cancelled it for more functional options, but in your case all functional options are more than covered. Yes the E/C combo does have deviated stitching at several places. Let me know if you want to see some pics, I can post. I don't want to clutter your thread otherwise.

Nice job. Only CTT that I've seen that beats mine slightly. Mine was a measly 143k I think. Didn't do the extra leather interior...
Mine gets here in 2-3 weeks!!!!!

Technically I forgot to add the price increase to mine so technically I had a 146k build before any tax.

The first thing that came out of my mouth when I saw your build was @#$ damn. Cant wait to see the pics. I agree that the sunvisors in alcantara are very nice as is, have had leather sunvisors in other cars but alcantara I like more. The two tone interior I have seen in person and looks amazing. I was not sure which exterior you got, but assume it is black. You might want to consider the ss skid plates it really looks great on dark colors. And if you are getting the 21" wheels keep in mind the turbo wheels you can get on just about any P-car while the sport design 21" wheels are only made for the Cayenne and they look great, I have them.

I have heard many people on here say that they prefer the sport steering wheel with the paddles more then the multi function wheel. I dont understand this at all, the multifunction wheel is so easy to use and much better then most other cars, and the tranny does not shift quickly like a pdk so why would I want to shift with the paddles.

Thanks for the offer but I followed your thread closely with all the great pictures. They really confirmed that my interior choice of espresso/cognac was the correct choice.

It's so easy to spend on options on a Porsche. My '08 997 Turbo has 40,585.00 of factory options.

I may eliminate the visors in leather as we have the standard alcantara visors on our other Cayenne and it blends well with the alcantara roof liner. Only thinking about the leather due to the deviating stitching that I THINK comes with it. From my '08 997 Turbo.
Cocoa (close to espresso) visors with stitching against alcantara roof liner.

My Cayenne is Umber and I am doing everything I can to get rid (Western Pennsylvania term) of everything that is shiny)

The sport design wheels are only availabe in 20". The sport edition wheels I have ordered are 21s.

Going back and forth on this one but will probably take your advice. My vehicle sits out a lot and the heated wheel alone makes this a better choice. Our other Cayenne has the paddles and have yet to use them.
It's amazing how, after spending over a month designing this Cayenne, looking at somebody else's logic can make you look at something differently.

That is what's great about the people on this form. Such a diverse group of people all willing to help others. Sure would be great if the whole world was like this.

Sorry I meant sport edition, mine are the 21" also.

The two tone leather and stitching on your 911 is amazing. You just cost me a lot of money, because the next time I get a 911 or any P-car I will probably have to get that done too.

I agree about the ss skid plates on umber. And also agree that this forum is very helpful on trying to get through all these choices.

I prefer the paddles to the MF wheel. But, I only drive with paddle shifters. I never drive in Auto. Habit started with my M5, carried over to my X5M and now with the Cayenne. True, the tranny is not as fast as PDK/DCT or even sport auto in the X5M, but it is plenty fast to satisfy my need to control shifts.

so this is the Umber build you mentioned on the turbo thread - pretty amazing car - i would drop the instrument dials - i like deviated seat belts, if the stock are black than you get the deviated look.

the blacked out exterior is how i would do it as well - with the Umber, that should look amazing

Made a few changes. No Cognac seat belts, eliminated the sport package and added PDDC & PTV as stand alone options in order the get the heated multi-function steering wheel that comes standard. Upsets me that I have to spend 1,500.00 more in order to not get the free optional sports steering wheel. I hope it locks soon so I am not tempted to make any more changes. Wow! ok, now unless I missed it when I read the above novel, I would definitely go for Thermal insulated glass all around. This in combo to the pano will ensure you are fully isolated thermally and from the noise. You will enjoy your stereo more plus car jacking with anything less than a gun will not force you to open the door (ie baseball bat hit on driver window will not shatter the glass)! Then again a glancing 9 mm shot will not penetrate as long as it doesn't hit you square in the side windows!
Cheers

imcarnuts: did you drop the extended natural olive grab handles? I've searched for pics of these and never found. Are there six that would be included in that pack? Seems like a decent cost at $1640 if so. Anyone else in the know?
