Operating Temp???

So here is the thing!! I was sitting in my CTT today havin a quick bite to eat and I looked down and noticed My temp has climbed. Normal (for mine) is straight up 180. Now I have only owned it over the winter but with the coolant line issue I am say, more then slightly worried. So I ask the ranges that you guys see?

180-200 isn't uncommon at all, some people are suprised that our cars run that cool. Dont fret til it pops higher than that. We're in a similar area and I've noticed the same and asked my indie and my dealer about it, we're in the clear according to both.

Nope, S (same engine, no turbos) with the original plastic pipes (not changing til my rebuild). Dealer informed me that it applies to all the 8's in MY03-06 with regards to operating temps.

I have an S (coolant pipes have been replaced) and mine did the same thing a couple weeks ago. Showed it to the mechanic I plan on using for the major stuff as I was nearby at the time and he said as long as the fans are working and there is coolant that it's pretty normal. He said spec was 196 degrees. And for me, it only did it that once and I had been idling for a short while in a drive-thru. Odds are yours is fine.

MY06 Turbo. Water gauge needle pointing straight up pretty much all the time after warm-up. Even in extremely cold temperatures (-25 C).
