2012 CTT Pana Roof yes or no

Hi guys:
my 12' CTT order will lock soon and i still cant decide to go with pana roof or not. there are posts of concern with louder wind noise and squeaking sound after a while.

i live in the mid-west with cold winters so heat is not a big deal but am very concerned about the wind noise and squeaking sound..

what do you guys think?

We have one on our cs and I haven't noticed any wind noise or squeaking from it. Go for it, you won't be disappointed! I ride in the back sometimes just so I can enjoy the Pana roof.

I have it in my 09 GTS and I love it. no discernible noise, and will recommend it.

100% yes, and, they dropped the price this year. FOR SURE, its a great option. Personally, I liked the older 4 panel pano roof, but, this new one is great.

I think the Pano roof looks great but my dealer talked me out of it. They said after time it will starts to squeak and if you like to drive fast there might be a little wind noise.

But for the price.. if it's something you want it's worth it.

Yeah that is my concern too. it does look cool to have but 12 month down the road if it starts squeaking...

I know it would be a blast to drive and lots of people are opting . Hence the price increase in 2012 model. After lot of research and reading , decided not to get the roof for following reasons .

1. Concern about noise on a windy day , seems not to be the case specially people who have mentioned, however noise is relative and no one has done a comparison with or without pano roof on a windy day .
2. My dealer mentioned about excessive heat being on of the issue .
3. What happens in a roll over ?? rare scenario ......my wife had one last year and came out safe .
4. Replacement costs and resale specially after 7-8 yr of use ...???

I have though decided to get the noise cancelling and heat insulating glasses.
Bose is the audio option .. Burmeister is the only only thing bugging me. Hope they lock my order so i can sit still...
I really enjoyed Mark Levinson in my previous car. I am a bit concerned about bose , but than .... REM , Cold play and Floyd should sound good with noise insulation . I am not into symphony or serious music . Should be "comfortable numb" with bose and noise insulating glasses.

I couldn't agree more. it does look cool but i don't know if that justifies the risk/concerns involved.

i am going with burmeister because with XM it adds real-time traffic updates with the Navi and Navi will actually re-route you base on current traffic conditions. I think going with insulated glass is good but I don't know how dark the tint will be. even in the rear windows LE in the mid-west tend to pull people over for it still.

Good luck and you will love it. I ordered mine and went through the options list time and time again. At the end I just drew a sand in the line on price and sat in her shoes instead of mine. I can't tell you the number of times I included and then removed (PSE, PTV, PDCC, Door Sills, Burmi) but I went with white and 21s for me.. hehehe.. I will be washing and waxing it.

Not to go off track but like many of you I am a perfectionist and enthusiast to death but truth be told that I would not have bought my Targa4s without their promotion/deal and while I always wanted full leather + plus all the other bells and whistles I could not justify the costs to myself still in the younger building stages of life. Chat soon..

Would I get it again , YES!! Love the view, it's quiet inside no wind at all!! But I do have the insulated side glass...
Maybe in 5 years the seals will be problematic but as of now it's perfect!
