Few minor changes 2012CS

Just a few things I know of. The price is up $600. to 65k even. The default is now non-smoker. Ditto the extended range gas tank. Anyone know anything else?

My below build completion date is 7/7 which would mean the very first week of 2012 production. Guess that is not too bad a thing given no real changes.

I did figure out how to use the 3D so convinced myself to get extended grab handles in olive. I am thinking of this as a blended sport luxury vehicle; honestly, my now famous 5 hour stint with the CS left me feeling it was not that fast. Granted, I did not run over 4500 rpm just trying to be a good steward for me or next owner. And in sport mode with manual shifts I could feel the beginnings of real power so when it is broken in and can run to red line it may rip.

Looked at CTT but too much stuff I did not need/want and too much jack for me, but if you have it....... That route would have removed all of the luxury stuff which I have come to covet- thanks to my new pals and all their pics on this forum.

When first considering the Cayenne, thought I would "fool" Porsche and not get into the option game... but that was then. Their cabinet work, at its best, blows away anything I would have ever imagined owning, hence my resources in that area. Even as a newbie to Porsche I can sense that what you get is no more or no less than what you pay.

Please, if anyone sees glaring omissions or mistakes, holler loud and hard. For now, no upgraded sound system which we really don't use much. I have never seen pics with espresso/cognac against white so if anyone has please post... or I will come end of summer

That was my first order choice, and if I had had time to order, what I would have gotten. I really think you need two options, both of personal preference.

One, high gloss black exterior trim. I don't have it, and wish I did. Vehicle just flows better with it. Again, personal preference.

Two, alcantara headliner. Absolutely one of my favorite features in any car since my M5. Pricey, but absolutely screams luxury.

Third, if you are willing, Porsche crests in front headrests. Nice finishing touch.

+1 on the ext. trim in high gloss black. It was a $150 option on the 11s. Really cleans up the look on any color vehicle without roof rails IMO. Great build, hope this one works out better for you and the wifey. Btw, I have the 14-way seats on mine and think they're great.

"I did figure out how to use the 3D so convinced myself to get extended grab handles in olive."

What is the secret? I have tried to use this feature on several Macs and PC's and can't seem to get it to work. Thanks.

I can't either. It keeps prompting me to do a download, no matter how many times I do the download. Even one of my local Porsche salesmen cannot get it to work on his dealership computer. Poorly designed software all-around.

It's Shockwave Flash, I think someone else posted a link, but you can get it below. There are very specific system requirements, just fyi...

I followed that link when it was posted and downloaded it once more. After doing that, whenever I tried 3D in the configurator, it prompted me to download the flash software again and again. It works in Firefox, but so slowly that I stick to the 2D version in my preferred version, which is Safari.

Roof Rails if there is need since it can not be added later.

Door sill guard is also new for 2012 it starts at $750 and for $2415 you can have it personalized to have your name on it

I think June production is the first month for 2012. my allocation slot is 6/1-6/30 and on the build sheet it says 2012 model
