Side VIew Mirror Repair

I have 2 problems with my drivers side view mirror. The easy one is that the mirror is coming off the backing. WHat kind of glue should I use to replace it that will stand up to weather extremes and still stay stuck.
My other issue is that the piece which holds the mirror (and alo is the mirror heater) is barely fixed to its post. It wobbles ridiculously and the clips that hold it to the unit do not seem to hold firmly. DOes anyone have an easy fix for this?

Thanks.

For 2003-2007- Sounds like the clips that hold it in place are either not all connected or are bent. The mirror will just pop off if you get your fingers behind the black backing and pull. Just be carefull - i cracked mine once doing just this - preasure has to be even as you pull - dont bend the frame. You can then inspect the clips and glue the glass back to the frame. If you glue it, 3m weather strip adhesive or contact cement is where I would start. Reinstalling is as simple as connecting the wires, positioning the mirror where it looks like it's centered and then pushing it back on. 07-2010 are most likely the same as I have seen pics of the glass eBay and the retention system looks identical.

Here are some pics from mine:
