Ticking noise from the engine 04 cayenne S

I have a 2004 Cayenne S with 110k miles. About a week ago I started to hear a faint ticking noise from the top of my engine (also sounds like it's coming from the wheel well (driver side). The sound is similar to a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle. Can anyone say if they have experience anything like this?

Yea, This is a little different. Even when I accelerate I can hear the ticking. I have had the truck about a year now and so far this is the only issue. hope to get it taken care of asap.

Visit your local Harbor Freight and purchase their $2.99 mechanics stethoscope. Damn good tool to have. Use it to track down the location of the noise then report back here.

Where really isn't as important as having it checked out as soon as possible. I would drive it to the dealer and let them find out if it's something serious or simple. Driving something after hearing engine noises that are not normal can be expensive.

I think it can be the arm which holds the engine , its bushing will get consumed after some time ! thats what the workshop told me last time .
