With a little help from my friends
So I ended up with an 04 CTT a couple of months ago and after not being able to sell it decided to keep her. It needed a a few maintenance issues addressed first so I ordered a rebuild kit for the compressor and a valvbody from revtech. I also decided to make it the fastest CTT in Costa Rica after being inspired by all of R Mans posts with his build. I started off with ordering a set of K&N air filters, hyperboost DV valves and HHR 3" main/secondary cat deletes. I was unsure about the tune but RM came through and I decided to go with softronic. Any tip's, advice or suggestions are more tHan welcome. Here's a pic of what arrived today.

Dont go with the K&N's. I have heard the oil in the filters will damage the MAF sensors. I would go BMC filters. The rest looks like you are on a good path. Just waiting till you add the jet thrusters.

This should be a great thread to keep an eye on. BMC is definitely a good choice of filter if you change your mind on the K&Ns.
How crazy does the build have to be to make it the fastest CTT in Costa Rica?

I plan on following Kents lead on his build so I should have similar #'s. I am also waiting on a few Peres from you guys that went out on Monday I believe. It was the PTM transfer gear servo motor update and I just checked the tracking. It has been delivered, so thank you for the fast shipping.

Are you going to buy the whole kit? You won't be able to follow everything RM did to his with the intake and throttle body though. His is a 957. For the 955's the power kit is larger intercoolers and a bunch of other parts. No change to the intake or throttle body.
I bought his old intake though so am going to work on figuring out how to get the bigger throttle body onto our 955's.

What are you planning on using that control module for?
Also, don't expect to be able to get RenaissanceMan's numbers out of your 955 very easily... the 957 has bigger turbos among other things to be able to make that power. The extra displacement and direct injection help too!
Don't let that discourage you though! You can still make great power on the 955, and if you need more, you can always put some bigger turbos on.

This is the update kit for the transfer case, but I think the control unit I received is for a 957. For this 955 I will be happy if I make it to 550hp although 600 would be nice and I will have no way of knowing when it's all said and done. I still have not found a Dyno in Costa Rica, but I'm sure there has to be 1 somewhere.
