my 2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo "build" thread
I used to have a blacked out 2005 CTT with green accents to match my malibu wakesetter boat and evolution powersports turbo arctic cat wildcat that included mods such as evoms intake, custom gooddings performance exhaust, evoms tune, evoms diverter valves and more but since have decided to upgrade to an 08. Todd and Sam at evoms both said it is leaps and bounds better than the 955's and I can confirm that it is far better in every aspect, even after only driving it for a few days and 1300 miles. I bought it in Michigan and drove it out to Colorado, 19 hours straight through, stopping only for gas. It ran great, got 18+ mpg and has a few features I wish my 05 had (backup camera, power rear liftgate, etc).
It is already in the shop for mods... this go around I am doing the following...
gloss black powdercoated 21" stock wheels
green calipers
green new "P O R S C H E" rear emblem with "turbo" emblem below it
green turbo logos in engine bay
green turbo logo stitching on both front seat headrests and middle rear
carbon fiber wrap of all the silver on the front/back bumpers - door handles
tinted tail lights
BMC Filters from evoms
IPD plenum
secondary cat delete
custom X pipe and muffler delete from gooddings performance with gloss black powdercoated tips
evoms diverter valves
evoms tune
porsche factory tow package to be installed by dealer
here are a few pics when I got it home, sorry for the dirty pics but it was a long drive!
build pics to follow - here is the matching "fleet"
here is the look I am going for again, similar to my old 05 turbo
more pics and vids of the progress to come!

Good looking cayenne. Not to derail, but it you get tired of the wood trim on the interior, I'd be willing to swap . I'm in the process of wrapping all my silver interior with the 3m carbon fiber stuff and do like it much better but I'm old fashioned and love the wood trim.

I love the wood, I had it in my last one and searched hard to find this combo as well before pulling the trigger. The carbon fiber wrap will look good though!

The carbon fiber does make it look better than the silver in my opinion. There is just something about the combination of luxury wood on the interior with the aggressive exterior of these that looks so good to me. Goes well with the dual personality of the ctt. I don't blame you for searching for the wood option, looks really good with the black exterior too. Congrats on the find, she is a looker for sure

Not much more progress pics to post.... It's done except evoms tune and tow package which is being installed early next week at the dealer. I'll get some pics and vids this weekend but holy crap this thing is better than I could have ever imagined.

Looks good! I used to think I liked the chrome headlights, before I decided to go black. The first time I saw them on the car, I knew I was doing the right steps and black was much much better on a dark car. I think there is a good chance you may change your mind too with a little time.
