08 957 S with 70k miles? how much should i pay
it's a two owner car and has 70k miles on it. I want to know if 17k is a good price for the car and what are the items I should tell my mechanic to check for. I had a 955 S and a 958. Both bought them new and sold them before 30k miles, so never really dealt with much of the maintenance or issues dealing with higher miles. Please advise. I would love a GTS but they are higher price and right now due to money tied up in business and other stuff, my immediate budget for a DD is less than 20k.

This could help.

Seems like a good price if the condition is good and options are good.

Good price. I understand that money is tight therefore I believe that $350 inspection at porsche dealer would be worth it. $17k might be a great deal or a huge headache and waste of money... I did the inspection when I bought mine...peace of mind. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you guys. The car was a total waste of time.
We made a trip cross town (45min-1 hour) each way with two little babies to look at it.
The guy shows up, I look at the car and the paint looks dead. Which I was not too worried as I can fix that with my skill sets. Then I start the car, first thing comes up is check engine light and alert for the brakes. So I ask the guy what is the deal, he tells me in 1800 miles it's due for inspection. Having owned a 955 and 958, I know the check engine light would not come up. Also the brake job on this car is about 1500$-2000$. He was also not flexible on the price. He wants 20k his bottom line.
Usually, if I am buying a car a visual inspection is the first thing I would do and next follow up with a PPI. However, this did not pass the second stage. My wife looked at it and she was pointing out more things like missing tow hook cover, scratched paint, poor detail job on the car and dirty interior carpet.
Long story short, this was a bad deal. No worries, we are looking out for a good example or else just hold tight. We have 3 cars to sell and will take some time to transition over anyways.
Thanks for the feedbacks gentlemen.
