advice on lowering links

hi guys
was looking for advice on using lowering links to lower the vehicle.

1. What the recommended lowering amount which will not kill the ride quality by too much

2. Any huge difference in ride quality when lowered with links vs software?

3. recommended vendor to purchase links?

thanks
