Aftermarket wheel issues CTT 955.

I would like to replace my factory 20 inch wheels for a set of quality aftermarket 20s but I have been told that most aftermarket wheels cause a vibration in one or more of the wheels and can't be balanced out.

Is this true?

Thanks for your help....

I think it depends on what kinda after market wheel you are going to get. If you get an Ebay style then probably. But in the end its always for me Looks over comfort.

It's imperative that the wheels/tires be road force balanced. Cayenne's are very sensitive to wheel balancing. I just went through this with my Sport Techno wheels on my CTT. The wheel/tires were spin balanced but there was always a vibration in the wheel. Finally I got sick of it and had them road force balanced and the problem was solved. Even the Porsche workshop manual says to have the wheel/tires road force balanced. Can't speak for the cheap eBay wheels but if there anything like the cheap Chinese tires don't expect them to balance correctly -- been there done that.

Thank you for the reply. Going to take your balancing advice...

No knock off wheels for me. Maybe XO, Niche....

Staying factory 20x9 or 20x10 all around.
