Throttle Body Adaption/Alignment Questions
This is for a 2005 V6:
- If I replace the throttle body, what needs to be done? Is a throttle body alignment DIFFERENT than the adaption? I would think so, but can't find any information on alignment.
- I have a durametric, but can't find any instructions for either an adaptation reset or alignment.
- Does the manual adaption reset work for the Cayenne? I saw one where you turn key to ON for 60 seconds, then OFF for 10, then ON for 15.

Just to answer my own question:
- In the durametric (Engine/basic settings) there is a throttle adaptation procedure. In the description, it says to do this if there is a new throttle body as well. So I guess that answers that.
- I did the durametric adaptation and it made clicking noises from the throttle body. I heard the same noises when doing the manual method as well. So I suspect it is the same.
