If you still need descriptions - let me know later.

North Korean PCM seller souds great!

BTW, I can provide SDARS code also.
Please if you can just put parts names for each listed code.
I want to check with Porsche dealer, I want to prove them that am well informed. They take too much money.

I'm wondering about the California seller that shows pictures of the unit with the GPS showing the car off the coast of Brazil. I'm guessing those are just simulated screen shots (otherwise I'd love to know how they have it running on a bench), but (if I was an interested party) that makes me question the whole thing since I suspect they are just using stock pics rather than pics of the actual unit.

When you order Porsche parts from all over the world there is a risk that things may not work after you put them together. Of course when you do it through a Porsche dealer you pay a lot more but you are guaranteed that things will work. With Porsche, they made things complicated and even secretive. Maybe the PCM head unit is even region/country specific, who knows?

I have talked with Porsche dealer about PCM 3.1 retrofit.
They accept to enter the codes that I bring them on paper.
and they accept to install used pcm 3.1 unit.
No problem about that.

But they said only problem can be gps antena.
I do not have a GPS antenna on my car
but they are not 100% sure about this.
Any solution to solve this?
Thanks for help.

If you install PCM @dealer they'll activate BT, because code already present in Porsche system. Parktronics will work without activation.

Probably you will want USB aux. Dealer will sell you kit.

And they'll not offer any other features.

How much you will pay for all @Suncoast?

OR

You can order 500$ used head unit, pay 550 for OE amp and cables or little bit less for smart guy for any 4ch ic based amp and custom wiring.

After that you need codes to activate all tasty things:
Navi
BT
USB
Spors Chrono
Individual memory
Offroad navi
Compass
Voice control

I can help you obtain all this codes and detailed how-to and what need to buy. And all of them together will cost you less then 1000$
You need piwis2 to input codes, find somethere or ask dealer, will they input codes if you will bring them on paper.

15 dollars GPS antenna with Fakra connector will solve you question for sure. If windshield without heating - put it under dash, else route in front, place under bumper or on top of vacuum buster.

You dealer should ask you regarding quality of FM reception first of all. It is true, PCM receive radiostations not so good. If you would like improve FM quality - you can add one antenna amp, as described in OE retrofit manual, but it will not return quality aat CDR level. I do not know why, but it is true.

I see theme still in the focus. I will place report with photo next time I will make conversion.

Porsche likes to keep things highly secretive. I find it puzzling that factory trained technicians do not know their products thoroughly.

Ok great! Now it all makes sense in relation to the antenna,
PCM 3.1 can operate without a factory antenna.

It is very strange that pcm unit has not so good fm reception.

One question, is there any difference in Fm tuner between USA version Pcm and Europe version Pcm ? I still did not bought Pcm, I choose between several PCM 3.1 on ebay. On ebay they selling mostly U.S. versions. Some Pcm on ebay are from panamera. Panamera pcm 3 can fit in Cayenne? the same pcm ?

It would be great if you had a picture of conversion.
That can help a lot. Thanks
