Oil level?

I check the oil level regularly. And after around odo: 8000 kilometers the oil level droped a box from "max". Then now at 12000 km it dropped a box, but still shows that the oil level is ok. Should i be worried?

I noticed the same on my turbo I'm not even close to your mileage. I was told at the dealer that the truck is not as accurate as the PIWIS and as long as it is stating its ok then don't worry. I'm not into the no dip stick cars but......Never checked what Porsche states is normal oil consumtion but seems like your doing ok.

If thats the case what a relief. I was going to bring it to the dealer because the 15k oil service is kinda early.

I bought my 2011 CTT with 40000 miles in April, CPO..... Drove 2200 miles (3500 km) and my oil level looks like yours now. Driving habit when I actually do drive it? Burned up and hanging out at the bottom of the intercoolers. Probably....

I think its normal after the motor is fully broken in. I have 6,000 miles since last oil change, and level is one bar higher than yours.

my sales guy gave a 2 bottles of M1 0w40 when I bought my car and put them in with the spare tire. he said it'll burn oil and to check every now and then. I wasn't surprised as my bmw and audi burns oil too. I usually have to add 1 quart in all the cars at least once during the oil change intervals. from the minimum mark to max is 1 quart, you can probably add 1/3 to 1/2 a quart to get it back up 2 bars.

So should I add oil till it reaches max? even though its says oil level is okay. Or just wait it out until my next service?

If your next service internal is 20K, I would add a quart of oil when it drops another bar. Better safe than sorry!

I'm at 12k, and the next service is at 15k. So ~3000 km remaining. I better buy a bottle to keep it in the car just in case.
