I managed to pull it off. I just bought the badge off of ebay. and made it fit. I had to grind off the stud in the back and epoxy the new one on. the gaps were close enough.

ive been trying to change that last bit of gold on mine also. Dealers have told me that i need to order the airbag like that but i found this online

Agreed the silver crest would look great.. I have grey interior and i think it would pull it together nicely
