How to spend $10K on an 05' CS?
I just helped my sister-in-law buy a low mileage 05' CPO'd Cayenne S. Now she asked me to fix it up for her, so I'm trying to figure out the best mods to do with a $10K budget. The thing is she's ONLY concerned about making the car look cooler, not about performance at all. I'm thinking of the following:
1) Rinspeed or TechArt lower front bumper add-on. I could try the whole turbo front end conversion, but problem is finding a used turbo front end. 2) She likes silver mesh wheels like the Champion RG5's or CarGraphics, but I'd like to find something cheaper that's still decent. Any suggestions? Anyone selling used Cayenne aftermarket wheels? 3) Tint the windows 4) Put on the Porsche roof rails 5) Clear corner the turn signals 6) Maybe lower the CS with springs depending on how it looks with the aftermarket wheels I'm new to modifying the CayenneS vs my 996's, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've been searching on old posts, but haven't found too much for the S model which has a different fitment of the front end. Thanks

I agree with you on wheels, tint, maybe lower it and what color is the car? And i would consider doing some rear bumper with a nice quad exhaust although that may push the budget.

I would look for a deal on wheels for sure that are semi used. I just picked up a set of champions with almost new tires for 3 grand just had to wait a few months to find the deal

Haystack615 - Yeah, I like the Cargraphics exhaust too as I also have one on my 996TT. Unfortunately she's not much into exhaust sound, so it'll depend if I have extra budget. I'm sure my brother would like it if I put one on... maybe if I can find a used one.
Chris - The S is a dark gray almost smoke color. I will look more into rear bumper changes, but I have to admit that so far I haven't seen any that really look all that much different vs stock. I suppose the fitment options would also depend if I changed the exhaust tips. 04CTT - so you bought those from the guy in Florida? I wanted to buy them, but the seller said he just had someone local who was interested. He sounded like he didn't want to ship them either, which I can understand. The last 2 times I've shipped wheels, they've gotten damaged by Fedex. Is it correct that all Cayennes have the same wheel fitment offset? I assume anything between a 20 to 22 diameter wheel would be okay? Thanks for all the advice so far. Steve

I have a set of four, brand new in the box Champion RS97 wheels (20 inch) that I have decided not to use. I will sell them VERY inexpensively.

copasetic222, thank you for the heads up about the RS97 wheels. I actually already showed those to my sis-in-law, but unfortunately she has her heart set on mesh.
I'm curious if there's any other brands out there similar to the Cargraphic wheel without the huge premium. I would never buy cheapo wheels of course. cayenned, I'm going to keep an eye out for sport tailpipes now that you mention it.

I would've went with the turbo instead. The difference between a CS and Cayenne Turbo is only about $10k on for an 05.

Tuskir, I would totally agree if it were my Cayenne, but my sis-in-law is a bit of a lead foot, and my brother was afraid the TT would be too dangerous in her hands.
I'm thinking of either doing the turbo front end conversion or the S model Tequipment sport package. I guess my decision will be based on how easy it is to source either option.

Just remember when building the car its for your sister and not you lol I always have the tendency when modding a car for a friend or family member to think what I would like and not them. Oh well I just cant help it modding is an addiction.

I like your wheels, but I already put some similar style iForged wheels on my brother's Lexus GX470 suv, so they wanted something a bit more different from what he already has. Thank you.
