JL Audio Sub Enclosure for Cayenne

Has anyone ever installed this? if so, how does it sound? make any rattling noise? i really want to add back subs into my cayenne (got stolen about a year ago) but i really enjoy my trunk room now. cant i get the best of both worlds? found this on the jl site and got really excited. thanks

The above linked thread has testimonials from someone who has one. And JL makes a NICE product. It's hard to go wrong with them.

huskyfan23 is infamous around these parts
JL makes awesome car audio products... but for $800 it should be a powered subwoofer.

I'd definitely be interested in a group buy for this.

I will try to call some people at JL soon to discuss this. The X5World Group Buy was a great sucess and handled very well. I will try to contact the last person at JL who handled that. I hope she is around still. If not maybe I can try to contact the person who started the GB over at X5World and see how they got it started.

Please copy and paste and add your interest to the list to gauge.

I figured I would post my current setup also......

Before I do, I want to say.....I think the JL stealthboxes are great! planning on picking some up for my polaris ranger......

I originally had 2 JL Audio W7's (12inch) in JL boxes in the trunk with an amp rack in between the subs and backseat. When I did the summer AKA Rally, I took out one box to make more room for spare wheels. I realized that I dont really need both boxes in there and decided to re-install the sub in the floor of the trunk where the spare tire was.

This is what it looked like before:

And the now the build stages.....

Emptying the bottom of trunk, wiring and dynomat...

Custom fiberglass box that fits perfectly in the floor and utilizes 4 stock studs to bolt into....

Box installed.... ** If you look on the left side you can see where the stealthbox fits into.....I currently have my Zapco Amp mounted in there...**

Sub installed in box...

Floor installed without Porsche carpet.... the floor is flush with the chrome tailgate step and then moves up 2.5 inches to fit the batteries, amps and sub....

I also had some issues with my PCM, it is being replaced by Porsche, but I decided to just go with the AVIC-Z2 touchscreen with XM live traffic NAV....

Done.....

holy crap. that is the most bad ass set up ever! what amp do you have to power that 12w7? how much did it cost to have that custom done for the sub in the trunk?

GREAT JOB!
