>>My 05 Cayenne - LOTS OF MODS, pics & observations<<
I have had some of this listed in other threads, but here is a consolidated list of my mods with pics (2005 Cayenne S). I am loading 1 pic and then the photobucket link to more pics for each project. Feel free to ask any ??? you like. My observations are at the bottom. I will update this post as I complete the next few projects
> Maybe! a VSI carbon hood (not sure yet - have to do some photoshop work on this first).
Observations:
+ Fabspeed Secondary Cat Bypass: you WILL notice a performance increase. Quite until you nail it. Tuner install so not sure how difficult to DY. Purchased and installed by powertech in Rockaway NJ.
+ Evo Intake: you WILL notice a performance increase: Sound = like the new AMG 63 - Deep throaty growl that will make you smile from ear to ear. Total install time = 1 hour max. (The clamps are missing in the picture so no comments please)Purchased from Porsche dealer in PA (was listed on ebay).
+ Jubily Nose & Hella Lights with 7K bulbs: PROS: Looks for sure and the fit is amazing - direct bolt on/ CONS: Had to make a special bracket for the lights. / Had to make a custom wireing harness for the lights. / Had to paint the grills myself (they were silver - thats dumb) / Had to drill the sensor holes (but they were marked so not so bad) / Had to custom fabricate the headlight washer covers as the stock covers are too small. Also left the light washer mechanisms off as they would show through the grill. Purchased from Vividracing.com (Very, very, very good service - fast ship and great price).
+ Tips: The single stock tips are far to mild. Def recomend duel tips / You will need the new valance and tow hook covers.Install time, 1.5 hours. Purchased from ebay seller in Germany.
+ Wood wheel: Tuner installed about 1 hour labor / Feels & looks much better then stock. I did lose the heated wheel, but i heard they make a heated wood ??? Purchased and installed by powertech in Rockaway NJ.
+Wood Shifter: Put it in neutral and pull up on the stock knob and it comes right off. Very nice upgrade, really completes the look and feels "rich" in your hand.
Purchased from Suncoast Porsche in Fla (love these guys!).
+ Clear markers: Super cheap upgrade ($50) and looks bertter then orange for sure. Bought from bumperplugs.com / Excellent service!
+ Renntech Dead pedal: Why the hell is this thing not OEM from Porsche?? It looks just like the pedals and saves the carpet. A bit of a pain to install but you can shove the tab under the rocker panel without having to remove the panel itself. Purchased from Powertech in Rockaway NJ, installed by me.
+ Roof Rails: Dead easy to install. Took 15 min at best. To me, the C looks naked without them. They also Work ! Tied my chrismas tree (with a blanket mind you) to the rails with little effort. Highly recomend. Purchased from ebay seller
+Sprint Booster: Well - it does what it says, that's for sure. Having driven around with PCM off for so long I would say that this made it like PCM off with another 25% pedal mush removed. The sensation is = about 1/4 of the way to the floor and its essentially full throttle. It's very sensative so if you never drive with PCM off, get ready to retrain your foot. Running with this and PCM off is a riot as the entire pedal range is about 10mm. This with PCM off is deffinitly "drag race mode".
Hmm, you did alot of the mods I have on my wish list. Still looking to get a lowering module and ECU flash too since I have a turbo. Nice job on yours! A+

Hey Roxboxxx, I just checked out Powertech website and saw they also do regular maintenance service. I wonder if you service your car there too? or at Porsche dealer? I assume Powertech charges less than the stealership...

Nice! Looks awesome, still waiting to see your new wheels!
BTW, my wood steering wheel came from the factory and has the heated function.
Intakes - They are evolution motor sports and I installed them myself. I found them on ebay being sold by a Porsche Dealer. Cost was a steal at $410. Here is the link to the manufacture http://www.evoms.com. Here is a link to the cheapest I found them (its a retail store in florida that will dropship them to you): http://www.vertexauto.com/ShowItem/2...ler%20Kit.aspx
Secondary Cat bypass: I think I paid $850 installed at Powertech in Rockaway NJ.
PowerTech: They will do maintenance and all they work on is Porsche's. They are 35 min from my location so I do my basic maint at the dealer (10 min from me). To compare the 2, I believe dealer charges $230 for an oilchange and PT charges $165 (based on memory). They are very professional and did my exhaust, and wood wheel same day.
New wheels: getting them installed on Tuesday and will post pics. I was up to 2:00 am adapting the porsche center caps to these wheels and I think the boards are going to love the look as much as I do. Don't ask what I am putting on as I would rather you be suprised by the pics.

will this work on a cayenne gts 09? with the intakes? and the cat by pass?
I am not sure - you should ping Evo motorsports and ask them (if you want the evos) HOWEVER - there is also a guy on ebay that sells a cheaper kit that is basically 2 couplers, some bend aluminum tubing and the airfilters. He says that it will fit the GTS. I spoke to another ebayer who bought from him and he said he has the same under hood grunt that I have. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=
As Promised VIDEO's! I will post some under hood videos soon, but for now, some in-cabin vids (NOTE - when you drive normal, it's quit inside the cabin!):
