Thanks for that. Didn't do a spell check. Wasn't watching my spelling. I was to busy watching my back! Still think the Panamera looks like a Marlin. But I had the same problem years ago when I said the 928 looked like a custom Pacer with a chopped top at the preview. I bought a 928 for my wife, she loved it. We divorced. She took the 928. I got the 911. I have no regrets.

Should Ferrari consider a four door. Looks like this is the direction of other exotics. Ferrari needs to show Porsche that a four door can perform and be beautiful as well. Is it time? They tend to not recognize the Maserati QP existence. The Panamera is down right ugly. Ive stated this in the Panamera thread comparing it to an AMC Marlin. They don't like me over there. Looks like I'll be band from the PCA meets.
love to see one and it will be the most beautiful 4 door ever! italians ftw!

That was my point with the Panamera group. In fact my original statement was: between the Rapide and Panam. Its a no brainer. The Panam guys said the Rapide was nothing more than a stretched DB9. I see that as a very good thing. The Lamborghini is amazing. Exactly what an exotic four door should be. Its not about being practical at all. Its about who makes the best Arrival. [at least here in the US.] Its totally in the spirit of the Espada.
In my opinion, such idea completely doesn't fix Ferrari's style. But who knows - Porsche is just doing similar movement on the market (Cayenne and especially Panamera)

I agree. The panamara is poorly executed. The idea of a 4 door Porsche isn't a horrible concept, but a streched 911 is ugly.
Oh, and it should be said that Ferrari has made a 4 door car before. The sultan of brunai had this custom made:
Never really counted the one offs. Pinnifarina did a four door concept back in the seventies for ferrari. I know I have photos somewhere. Ferarri wold never take credit for such. If I recall correctly Ferry Porsche was given a four door 928 for his birthday back in the day. Never considered that as a real car for Porsche. In fact even as an afterthought, it was still better looking [in its time] than the Panam. Porsche had a great opportunity and missed it. To bad. And really to bad for that Sultan guy.
I used to think the Panamera was ugly based on photographs, but this weekend I had the opportunity to check a few of them out in person, as well as on the track.
I have to admit, they are beautiful in person! There was a white S there that was just awesome. They did very well on the track too.
Hey Tom, what's up man? How's the new gig down there coming along? I think there's a chance that Florida sun is starting to wear off your Jersey smarts..haha! I'll admit the Panamera is BLOWING everyone away who drives one, but it'll ALWAYS be uglier than, well, think of something really ugly. (i personally like the earlier stated Marlin comparo...haha!)
