Reccomendations for fun places to eat in NYC

Looking for some fun/trendy places to eat in NYC. Have a few suggestions from friends such as STK, spice market, stanton social, buddakan, tao, merkato, bilboquet, bagatelle. Any other suggestions?

Also what is a good steakhouse. Been going to Luger's and believe it to be the best. Just want to try something in Manhattan. Heard wolfgangs is just as good, any others? thanks

This is quite old, but I must say that STK is an excellent choice for dinner. It's located in the Meatpacking District and I could fill up an entire page about how much I enjoy dinner there.

If you're looking for a more intimate place, check out Mas in Greenwich Village. It doesn't look amazing from the outside, but the food and service are both exceptional! Here's their website: http://www.masfarmhouse.com/
