How do you park when you are out in public?

Funny.

I am just looking for something that requires no concentration since i often come home from work late at night dead tired and dont feel like dinging up my front bumper. My garage is VERY tiny so there isnt much room for error - and im in the process of re-doing my whole garage (thread coming later this week) so i thought id look for something cool.

The tennis ball idea is cool - but not the look i want. Right now i just look at the mirror and see how far i am in relation to my door (into the house) but that gets old - esp when im on the phone or tired etc etc etc

Thanks for the idea tho guys...ill come up with something and let yall know what i picked.

I have a couple of these and they work very well. They only slide around if you try to run over them. I used to have the bump mats on the floor, and they never stayed in place.

These are awesome. Right height for backing in. Blink when you make contact. Do not slide unless you power in! Great even for the wife to park it right. WORTH THE MONEY AND HEADACHE of making sure you're in far enough.

BTW, ditto on that park stop crap. I had that first, and it slides after awhile. Not worth the money at all.

Stick with the other one. Looks waaay better than the tennis ball crap

I have the same problem and have been looking at the ground stoppers made by RaceDeck.

My step dad uses 2 inch pvc pipe screwed to a small 8x8 inch piece of plywood. When the top of the pipe moves he is there.

A plastic fishing bobber works even better. It just clips on the line so it's easier to install and slides up and down if you change cars.

I have used these in my garages for a few years and they work very well, go on green, dead slow on amber and stop on red. You can set the stop to whatever distance from the wall you want. A much more elegant solution than a tennis ball and string.

K, I'm not saying this can't be a good idea, and I'm also not saying anything about anyone's driving (I've hit my front lip on curbs, smashed out a fog light with a fire-hydrant, and so on) so this is not an elitist and snarky follow-up at all BUT you gotta admit for this question to be on this site is kind of . I mean, here is a group of generally performance oriented cars, guys who spend time on a track, basically representing 'the driving life' and we're looking for a thing so we don't hit the walls in our garage!?!?!?!

It's a valid question, maybe on any site - but here it's...out of place? - next we'll chatting about how to make a Home Depot intake for our Tiburons and what color wool seat-cover to get - nothing against Thull

You must've missed my thread about making the blinker louder.
